Lucknow: Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has sharply rebuked the alleged comments made by Samajwadi Party leader Om Prakash Singh about his birth. In a social‑media statement, Rajbhar said he has been hearing Singh’s accusations for the past two days and, rather than feeling shocked, he feels sorry for Singh.

Rajbhar explained that the attacks on his lineage stem from the fact that he belongs to the modest and historically marginalized Rajbhar community, not to a landlord family or an upper‑caste lineage. He affirmed that he has never regretted his birth into the Rajbhar caste; on the contrary, he takes pride in the grit and determination that his community instills.

While acknowledging that he could retaliate with similar slurs, Rajbhar emphasized that his upbringing and values forbid him from insulting anyone’s parents. He paid tribute to Singh’s parents, noting that no one chooses the time, place, family, lineage, or caste of their birth – that is decided by the Almighty.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party

The minister then turned his criticism toward the Samajwadi Party itself and Singh’s political ambitions. He hinted that Singh might lack belief in God, arguing that a true believer would not cling to the SP merely to secure an Assembly ticket, especially given what Rajbhar described as the party’s alleged disrespect for Lord Ram, the Raghukul line, the Suryavansh dynasty, and Sanatan Dharma.

Rajbhar reiterated his commitment to serve the Rajbhar community, along with other backward classes, Dalits, and the oppressed, stating that he works tirelessly to give them a voice, irrespective of the outcome.

He added a pointed remark for Singh: if he wants an SP ticket, he should take it, because “the public is watching everything.” When the moment arrives, it will be the electorate that passes judgment.

No Apology Expected

Rajbhar clarified that he does not demand an apology from Singh, nor does he seek one himself. However, he urged Singh to reflect on his own parents and consider whether it is appropriate to launch caste‑based attacks on someone’s birth.

Concluding his post, Rajbhar wrote, “May God bless him,” and closed with “Jai Shri Ram.”
